Senate Democrats should insist on budget override vote
Will he or won't he? Will Emil Jones allow his Senate colleagues to do what they were elected to do – vote on important matters, including the state budget – or will he play the role of Third World dictator and singlehandedly thwart what likely would be a Senate override of $424 million in budget cuts made by Gov. Rod Blagojevich?
Jones, the president of the Senate and a Blagojevich ally, is sending mixed messages.
