Wysocki and Beckett dedicated to public
I have been reading about candidates running for Champaign County Board in District 9, an election in which I will be voting. Although I see charges against the incumbents from their opponents as to lack of ethics and failure to adhere to Democratic Party principles, I see no information from them about what they intend to do if they are elected and what they believe those Democratic principles to be.
I know that Barb Wysocki has donated one year of her county board salary and per diems, totaling $30,000, to the Champaign County Courthouse Lincoln Museum, and that Steve Beckett has donated all of his county board per diems for the last five years, totaling $12,500, to the fund for the clock and bell tower. Both of these projects are important pieces of our county's history.
