Wysocki critics are distorting the record
A recent letter by Joy Thorton-Walter distorts the record and integrity of Champaign County Board Chairwoman Barbara Wysocki and purposefully misleads voters.
She asks why Wysocki would not appoint county board members to an advisory jail expansion committee. It is often valuable in the public process to get citizen input. That input is hard to get when elected officials serve on the same committee as citizens. I have seen many elected officials dominate advisory committees and even bully citizen members into taking their position.
