Groups worked together to rebuild playground
It's common to read about teachers and school systems differing over issues such as wages and teacher-student ratios, and to read about the ills and insensitivities of the fraternities and sororities at the University of Illinois.
This letter is about the opposite – the above groups coming together to benefit the children of Thomas Paine School in Urbana. The Thomas Paine PTA, parents, teachers, administrators and students were joined by the brothers of the Alpha Chi Rho fraternity and sisters of the Alpha Omega Epsilon sorority to install playground equipment that the PTA had spent 10 years raising money for.
