Opponents of smoke ban are just ignorant
I continue to wonder why opponents of the clean air ordinance just don't get it. In his April 8 letter "Bogus arguments drive the smoke ban," Steve Skoulikas' logic displays a pervasive ignorance regarding the motivations behind the clean air ordinance.
Anti-air groups and their ilk would have people believe that the clean air ordinance is only the opening salvo of intrusive legislation meant to infringe the rights of individuals by self-righteous do-gooders. Skoulikas claims that the clean air ordinance makes about as much sense as banning fatty foods to curb obesity or banning drink to combat alcoholism.
