Why no seat belt in commercial buses?
Recently, when riding in a new Lex bus, I noted that it had seat belts that I recalled were not in other buses in which I had traveled.
This caused me to inquire, and I learned the commercial bus transportation industry does not require seat belts. I further learned no American manufacturer constructs a bus with seat belts. Only one European company, one in Belgium, does and then only by special order.
