Green Party has best presidential hopeful
I write in support of Green Party presidential candidate Cynthia McKinney. McKinney had a distinguished 12-year career as the first African-American woman to represent Georgia in the United States Congress. In Congress, McKinney was a defender of a just American foreign policy. She consistently voted against funding the disastrous and illegal war in Iraq. She also introduced and helped pass significant human rights legislation, including bills on ending the use of depleted uranium munitions, aiding the Congolese peace process and halting arms shipments to dictators.
At home, McKinney has fought to ensure that the American dream is open to everyone. For example, McKinney was a leader in Congress fighting for the relief of Hurricane Katrina victims while helping shed light on the corruption and incompetence of the Bush administration's response to that disaster.
