After conviction, mayor should resign

Now that our esteemed mayor has finally admitted to a reduced charge of disorderly conduct in court, I think it is high time that the good citizens of Georgetown have a leader who is honest, well respected and exhibits decent morals.

This embarrassing situation has been hanging over our heads like a dark, disgusting cloud for more than two years now. Every time this story is reported on, there is his picture along with all the sordid details as a reminder to anyone reading the papers that he has been fighting a losing battle.
