Cost of care for seniors is outrageous
Our mother lives in an assisted-living facility in Rantoul. She is on its 24-hour care program which is a separate bill. Recently the head nurse told me to come in and sign a new contract for Mom's care because the amount was going up.
I sat down to sign only eight days before the increase took effect. Was I ever shocked. It went up 70 percent – $825 more per month. This facility didn't even have the courtesy to send their clients/families a prior letter of forewarning. Our senior citizens deserve better than this.
