Giant Lincoln head would bring laughter

When I saw Frank Gallo's Photoshop rendition of Lincoln as a giant Weeble near the courthouse, I thought that would be a really neat April Fool's joke and figured someone has really lost their marbles. After I stopped laughing about it, I began to remember all the things art can be – not the least of which is a thumb in the eye of the establishment, and not taking ourselves too seriously. Perhaps we need to erect something with this spirit not necessarily because we like it but because we need it.

After all, Lincoln had one heck of a sense of humor.
