Efficient light bulbs available to public

With winter approaching, now is a good time to start thinking about ways to save energy. One way to do so is by replacing standard incandescent light bulbs with compact fluorescent light bulbs. These light bulbs use about one-third less energy and last up to 10 times longer than standard bulbs. Using less energy saves on your electric bills.

Once again, Ameren has made available to Illinois legislators light bulb kits for distribution to their constituents. The kit includes two Energy Star light bulbs, one 60 watt and one 100 watt bulb, as well as other useful information including a guide on how to become more energy efficient.
