Proud American calls for national unity

I am an American. I do not base my decisions on race, class or political agenda. To be an American is not to be Republican or Democrat, but to be one nation with a common cause that is the greater good for all citizens who live under Old Glory.

I am an American, a citizen who should be able to voice his or her opinion without fear of backlash in public opinions. I am an American. I shed tears on Sept. 11 as I watched in horror the events that caused Americans to join in sympathy and pride, willing to help another.
