Park district tax investment in future

On Feb. 17, I attended a special joint meeting of the Urbana Park Board and its Citizen Advisory Committee to discuss the future of an outdoor aquatic facility in Crystal Lake Park. The meeting, moderated by retired university administrator Tony Clements, was well attended.

Many questions and concerns were brought forth by the public, and they were addressed by Clements and members of the district's board and staff.
