Health care deceit lies with Democrats

Wednesday November 4, 2009

The deceit in the health care debate is coming from the usual suspects, U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her group of lapdog cronies.

In response to Mike Hopkins' letter, I would say the hidden agenda does not lie within the ranks of the Republican Party or with radio talk-show hosts. It comes from our elected officials in Washington, D,C., who are pushing socialized medicine while the people are worrying about the terrible economy.

Hopkins also mentioned that anyone satisfied with their health care can keep it. Apparently, like the rest of the Democrats, he failed economics class. He can't see that when no insurance company can compete with a plan that gives away health care, he and everyone else will be forced into a government-run system.

How can a system that we pay for be free? Someone is paying for it. The true deceit lies among the majority in the halls of Congress, who are meeting behind closed doors and coming to agreements with the drug companies that were once deemed "evil," much like the insurance companies now.

It's time for us to think locally, get out the vote and unseat incumbents who are voting for these monstrosities of bills.
