People are losing sense of initiative

The strength of the United States of America depends on the strength of every individual person.

I worry about many of the recent political policies, as they serve to weaken the individuals mostly through government entitlement programs.

We are entitled to have abortions. We don't need to be responsible for our actions. We don't even need to generate an income because we can be on government welfare. We don't have to rebuild our house after a natural disaster because the government will do it for us.

Overcoming and providing for themselves is what makes strong people. Being responsible for their actions makes people learn.

We cannot learn the values and blessings of love through sacrifice, work, compassion, reliance on God, being productive if we have never had to do these things. We become selfish and weak. Too many people want everything for nothing. Government policy is making us a weaker nation – one person at a time, one family at a time.
