Many factors crucial to determine fallout

I join many in our community who applaud Champaign City Council Member Vic McIntosh's forthright thinking in weighing the effects of the recently imposed clean air ordinance on local businesses.
Our local businesses deserve, at the very least, a thorough analysis of all factors that may impact the local economy. That should take into account both the recent ordinance and such factors as the historical increase in the number of liquor licenses, number of days with severely inclement weather, the performance/draw of local sports teams, etc.
