I really am tired of reading about how the smoker is losing his or her "rights." They proclaim it's their right to be able smoke when or wherever they want and that it has no connection to cancer. These people are totally ignorant on this issue and have no respect for the well-being of others. I love reading in the paper when they cover this issue and you have a local mayor or other city official who makes a statement like Ron Hunt, mayor of Villa Grove: "I've smoked 2 packs a day and I'm still healthy. Cancer is cancer. Anybody can get it whether or not you smoke."
Is he for real? They call this a right but it's really a health Issue. When you go to any small town restaurant a lot of times the nonsmoking section is right next to the smoking section, which is really a joke. I remember the times when nonsmokers had no place to go. You just had to sit there and take it or leave.
