UI president praises critic for his devotion
URBANA – The gala opening reception on Wednesday evening for the ninth annual Roger Ebert's Overlooked Film Festival was a bit more subdued than usual. And not just because the usual greeting line was dispensed with.
Some festival guests, among them Marcia McBroom, one of the lead actresses in "Beyond the Valley of the Dolls," were delayed at airports because of the weather. Austrian filmmaker Rudi Dolezal and his companion, Valerie Gobos, got around that, though.
