I used to live in Fisher - 1980 - 1983. It was a quiet and unassuming small town, friendly toward military families, and affordable. I have some fond memories of being able to do a full-service bill of grocery shopping at was then called Heiser & Ingold Grocery, except for spirituous beverages, which could not be sold in Fisher back then. The electorate managed to get the issue onthe ballot and those in opposition came in droves to make sure it did not get positive votes! The rubbish collectors at the time did the count of consumption and that is how it got on the ballot!
