Lawmaker starts online petition for governor's impeachment

DANVILLE — State Rep. Bill Black, R-Danville, launched a local petition drive Thursday to expedite Gov. Rod Blagojevich's removal from office.
The petition can be found online at www.black.ilhousegop.org.
Black also filed legislation – HR 1644 – to launch impeachment hearings in the state's House of Representatives. Black will take the signatures on the petition to Springfield on Monday when the House reconvenes.
