Resurfacing of Illinois 1 to start from Danville to Tilton

DANVILLE – Resurfacing of Illinois 1 between Danville and Tilton is scheduled to begin next week, weather permitting.
According to the Illinois Department of Transportation, work will begin Tuesday on the resurfacing of Illinois 1 from 16th Street in Tilton to Main Street in Danville.
The project covers 1.18 miles and includes patching, milling and resurfacing. Completion is expected in November.
The agency encourages drivers to slow down and drive carefully. The contractor for the $1.2 million project is Cross Construction Inc.
