Hearing in Springfield Monday on health insurance

SPRINGFIELD — State employees concerned about the loss of their Health Alliance Medical Plans HMO will get a chance to address a state Senate Insurance Committee hearing set for 9 a.m. Monday.
The committee will discuss state employees' group health insurance benefit options.
Health Alliance spokeswoman Jane Hayes said a lot of state members are upset about the state Department of Healthcare and Family Services' decision to drop the Health Alliance HMO and want to come to the hearing.
It will be held at Room 212 at the Capitol Building in Springfield.
