Manzullo to meet Tea Party members in Gibson City

GIBSON CITY — U.S. Rep. Donald Manzullo, R-Leaf River, will meet Saturday in Gibson City with members of the Ford County Tea Party.

Manzullo, who is running for the Republican nomination for Congress in the new 16th Congressional District against freshman Rep. Adam Kinzinger, R-Manteno, will be at the Moyer District Library, 618 S. Sangamon Ave., Gibson City, from 1 p.m. to approximately 2 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided.

Kinzinger and Manzullo will be on the March 20 Republican Party primary election ballot in the new district that stretches from Gibson City on the south to the Wisconsin border on the north, and from Kewanee on the west to the Indiana border on the east. It includes largely rural sections of central and north central Illinois.

Manzullo, 67, has served in Congress since 1992.
