Mahomet officials to look at lot zoning request
MAHOMET – The Mahomet Village Board on Tuesday will consider changing the zoning on a lot across the street from Lincoln Trail Elementary where a developer wants to build condominiums. The board will meet in regular session at 6 p.m. at its administrative building.
Mahomet's Plan and Zoning Commission tied 2-2 in its vote as to whether to recommend changing the lot's zoning from single-family residential to multiple-family residential. Developer Joel Rasche wants to build condominiums because he said it will best fit the lot's long, narrow configuration.
