House overrides budget veto
SPRINGFIELD – As expected, the Illinois House on Tuesday voted overwhelmingly to restore the vast majority of the governor's budget cuts, but a similar vote in the Senate is unlikely.
Senate President Emil Jones is still planning to block the override motion in his chamber, meaning Gov. Rod Blagojevich's budget reductions would stand.
