Multiplier may rise, adding to next year's property tax bills
URBANA – Combined with higher assessements, Champaign County property owners could also see an increase in next year's taxes based on a higher multiplier.
Champaign County was given a tentative property assessment equalization factor of 1.0233 by the Illinois Department of Revenue, because assessments in the county are at 32.57 percent of market value, compared with the required 33.3 percent.
