Chaplain at Danville hospital honored by Illinois Eye Bank

Sister Joanne Vander Heyden looks at baby Gissele, daughter of Eva Resendez, both of Hoopeston, at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville on Monday. Vander Heyden is a chaplain at the facility and is being honored by the Illinois Eye Bank.

DANVILLE - Sister Joanne Vander Heyden's drive and hard work to help others live a fuller life through the gift of sight has resulted in her receiving the Watson Gailey Award from the Illinois Eye Bank.
