Johnathon Eckert, 11, of Sidell travels down the zip line Tuesday at Camp COCO at Lake Bloomington. Camp COCO is a special one-week camp run by Southern Illinois Medical School each summer for children with cancer and blood disorders.

BLOOMINGTON – Clad in a bright red safety helmet, 11-year-old Johnathon Eckert of Sidell waits excitedly with a small group of fellow campers to try out a fun new adventure called ziplining.

"I hope I don't get sick on the way down," he confides. "I get nauseated sometimes."

Chemotherapy, unfortunately, can do that to you.
