Champaign parks using new ID cards

Jan Solon gets her Champaign Park District ID card made on Thursday afternoon. The cards are only mandatory for those buying pool passes, but all patrons are encouraged to get one.
CHAMPAIGN – Bobbie Herakovich wants city residents and nonresidents alike to become card-carrying members of the Champaign Park District.
That's because the park district this year, for the first time, is implementing a photo identification card system for all park-district users, said Herakovich, the park district's executive director.
