Monticello's airport doesn't meet standards

MONTICELLO – The future of Monticello's airport is once again in doubt following an inspection by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
Steven Long, aviation safety bureau chief for the Illinois Division of Aeronautics, said his staff identified three violations to state safety rules during inspections of the airport on April 12 and 21.
