They've got the whole world in their class

Teacher Melanie Traxler helps Vanji Moise, left, and DeMarko Moore-Williams, both 10 and in fourth grade, with an assignment at King Elementary School in Urbana. Students in the widely diverse classroom paired up to describe and compare the cultures of their homeland. Moise is originally from Zambia, and Moore-Williams is from Urbana.

URBANA – Hang out in Melanie Traxler's combined third- and fourth-grade class at King Elementary School in Urbana, and you might start humming "It's a Small World."

Because there's a lot of world represented within these four walls.
