Mahomet park named after ex-athlete

MAHOMET – For four years, Bruce Johnson proudly sat in the stands as he cheered his son, Brent, to victory afer victory for the Mahomet-Seymour wrestling team.
Johnson said he'll never forget the thrill of watching Brent compete in the state quarterfinals under the bright lights of the Assembly Hall as his son participated in the state championships during his senior year.
