UI Researchers create computer that recognizes body movement

Professor Thomas Huang and his students have developed a program that detects people shrugging. The system uses hardware and software to get computers to see the up and down shoulder movements we use to express emotions.

Read my lips isn't the half of it.

When humans talk, we do more than pay attention to the words coming out of our mouths.
