Counselor has license suspended for at least a year

A professional counselor from Monticello has lost her license for at least one year after becoming intimate with someone she treated, according to the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.

Rhonda Allison knowingly violated patient boundaries by engaging in a sexual relationship with a client before the mandatory waiting period was up, department disciplinary documents stated.
