CHAMPAIGN – Hoping for more dollars and donors this year, the United Way of Champaign County has set a $3 million goal for its annual fund drive.
Announced Thursday, the goal is slightly higher than the $2.94 million raised in 2005, the highest total in the agency's history. The 2005 campaign was the first in five years to meet its goal, exceeding the target by $40,000.
