Officials' disaster drill is first of its kind, scope in area

It was part of a drill involving public health, hospital and emergency management agencies.

Few can imagine what an outbreak of plague in Champaign County might bring.

But those with the responsibilities of dealing with the real thing, if it should happen, tried to do just that in a three-day disaster drill, the first of its kind and scope, locally.
