SPRINGFIELD – All three candidates for 103rd District state representative want to work toward universal health coverage in Illinois, but each has a different plans for achieving that goal.
Urbana Republican Rex Bradfield recently unveiled a plan called IHEART, which stands for Illinois Has Equal, Affordable and Reliable Treatment. The plan is modeled after new programs in Massachusetts and Vermont, and is supposed to work by spreading insurance companies' risk over a larger pool of customers and eliminating inefficiencies and waste.
