Female firefighters gather for training, networking opportunities

CHAMPAIGN – A team of firefighters placed and mounted a ladder and, later, extinguished flames in training drills Sunday in Champaign.
When they pulled off their helmets and face pieces, the characteristic they shared became clear – they were all female.
