New rules for cell phone towers to be considered

CHAMPAIGN – The city council will consider Tuesday a proposed ordinance that would end the city's moratorium on new telecommunication towers and make it tougher to locate towers near residential areas.

The council meets in study session at 7 p.m. at the Champaign City Building, 102 N. Neil St.
