Recount should resume today

DANVILLE – The election recount in the Newell Township road commissioner race is supposed to resume today after equipment problems delayed the process.
The computer system could not read the April 2005 ballots because the company that supplies the election equipment had updated the software prior to the Nov. 7 election, making it incompatible with the old ballots.
