Carle doctor: U.S. failing in HIV fight

URBANA – The way Dr. Philip Johnson sees it, there's just no excuse for 40,000 new HIV infections in the United States every year.

And he places the blame squarely on the government, which he says is failing to promote the kind of public education and routine testing that could slow down the HIV/AIDS epidemic.
