Hours for tree pickups set

As the new year rolls around, Christmas trees come down. Now the pesky question is what to do with them.
Many city public works departments pick up the trees, sans all decorations, at scheduled waste or recycle collection times, and the Landscape Recycling Center, 1210 E. University Ave., U, accepts Christmas trees free of charge – all decorations, wires and stands must be removed. The center is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, except for holidays.
