Woman admits to falsifying claim of child molestation

URBANA – A woman who falsely accused her ex-husband of molesting her child was sentenced Wednesday to two years of probation.
Amy L. Dow, 31, who listed an address on County Road 1300 E, Champaign, pleaded guilty before Champaign County Judge Heidi Ladd to disorderly conduct, admitting that in June and July 2006, she told an investigator with the Champaign County Sheriff's Office that her son had been sexually molested by her ex-husband.
