Urbana, union reach agreement

URBANA – The city and the union that represents public works employees and police safety service representatives have reached a tentative four-year contract agreement.
The agreement with the American Federation of State County and Municipal Employees Local 1331 calls for annual raises of 3 percent, 3.25 percent, 3.25 percent and 3.5 percent. The agreement is retroactive to July 1.
