The UI has laid out more than $1.1 million on office suites, consultants, salaries and travel for its Global Campus initiative — which hasn't even been approved yet by the board of trustees.
In September 2005, University of Illinois President B. Joseph White took the stage at the Krannert Center for Performing Arts and, in front of faculty, students, alumni and friends, delivered his inaugural address.
Invoking Daniel Burnham (of "make no little plans" fame), White posed several questions.
