Man charged with armed violence

RANTOUL – A Rantoul man arrested Monday with a loaded gun and drugs was charged Tuesday with armed violence.
Rantoul police Sgt. Jeff Wooten said Cedric Watkins, 24, who listed an address in the 1900 block of County Road 3000 N, was arrested about 5:30 p.m.
