Civil rights suit against Honor the Chief Society thrown out

PEORIA – As the third anniversary approaches of a confrontation between Chief Illiniwek supporters and protesters, a federal judge has dismissed a civil rights suit against Roger Huddleston and the Honor the Chief Society.

Five people claimed they were kept out of a pro-Chief event at the Round Barn Restaurant in Champaign on Feb. 28, 2004. The federal discrimination suit was filed a year later.
