More charges likely in case from '97

URBANA – A Champaign man is tentatively scheduled to be tried in May on charges that he murdered a Chicago man in Champaign a decade ago.
Assistant State's Attorney Steve Ziegler said Shance Dalton, 28, was present and struggling with Timothy Payton on March 2, 1997, when another man shot and killed Mr. Payton.
