Local vets praise Illiana hospital

DANVILLE – None of the 70 or so people at Tuesday's informal war veterans gathering had ever been a patient at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
But it didn't matter to Harold "Sparky" Songer, director of the Vermilion County War Museum, where the monthly meetings take place.
