Paxton council not swayed by petitions

PAXTON – Despite 389 wishes to the contrary, Paxton officials affirmed their original decision to place a new bridge at Holmes Street over the railroad.

The Paxton City Council voted 7-0 to proceed with plans to construct the $3.9 million bridge at Holmes instead of at Center Street, where petitioners had asked that it be placed.
